Trusted Advice - Clear Plans - Peace of Mind

From much-loved companion ponies and leisure horses to high-level performers, good parasite management plays a vital role in long-term health, comfort and performance.

We provide clear, evidence-based support to help you understand parasites, make informed decisions, and feel confident in protecting your horse’s wellbeing.

Led by an equine parasite management specialist with strong scientific training and extensive hands-on experience, our approach is grounded in current research and best practice. We focus on responsible, targeted strategies that prioritise horse health while helping to slow the development of anthelmintic (wormer) resistance.

We recognise how confusing and conflicting parasite advice can be. That’s why our guidance is practical and tailored to the individual horse and yard situation.

No unnecessary treatments, no guesswork.

Not sure where to start? See our "routine testing" section below

Routine Testing

Routine testing focuses on ongoing monitoring of your horse using the following tests:

  • Regular faecal egg counts (FECs) also known as worm egg counts using a small dung sample.

  • EquiSal tapeworm testing using a simple saliva swab 1-2 times per year.

Best Starting Point:

If your horse hasn’t been dewormed in the last 4-6 months or there is no worming history, an ideal place to begin is our FEC and Equisal bundle.

What our clients say

“Getting my horses egg count done is routine at this stage for us, it is no different to getting his new shoes or dental visits. I'm so grateful for Eilisha’s expertise, she makes it so personal and easy for owners.” Kate, Kildare

"We have been using Targeted Worming Ireland for a year now. It's a fantastic service. Knowing that you’re not over worming your horse, when the right time is to worm and what to worm with is great . Eilisha is very helpful and we will continue to use this service. All our horses look fantastic." Clodagh, Kildare

"First time using Targeted Worming Ireland and I have to say the process was so quick and easy. Eilisha was so helpful in guiding me through the few steps of the process and put a plan together with the test results for worming my yearling to target what he needed. Would definitely recommend this service." Sarah, Wicklow
